【摘要】:Thisspecificationestablishesrequirementsforfabricatedfittingsintendedforusewithoutside-diametercontrolledpolyethylenepipeandtubing.Thesefittingsaremanufacturedbyheat-fusionjoiningshape-modifiedpolyethylenecomponentspreparedfrompipe,moldedfittings,sheet,orblock.Includedarerequirementsformaterials,design,workmanship,minimumdimensions,marking,testmethods,andqualitycontrol.Pressureratingofthefabricated-fittingdesignisbeyondthescopeofthisstandardandshallbeestablishedbythefittingmanufacturer.Thisspecificationincludesrequirementsforbothroomtemperatureandelevatedtemperaturepressure-teststodemonstrateareasonablelevelofperformanceofthefabricated-fittingdesignatthepressureratingestablishedbythefittingmanufacturer.Thepressure-testsrequirementsarespecifiedbyDR.TheDRspecifiedisthatofthepipingsystemforwhichthefabricatedfittingisintendedtobebutt-fused.Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthestandard.Units-Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitswhichareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section9,ofthisspecification.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
