【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiestherequirements,testmethodsandperformancecriteriaforvisualalarmdevicesinafixedinstallationintendedtosignalavisualwarningofafirebetweenthefiredetectionandfirealarmsystemandtheoccupantsofabuilding(seeitemCofFigure1ofEN54-1:1996).Itisintendedtocoveronlythosedeviceswhichderivetheiroperatingpowerbymeansofaphysicalelectricalconnectiontoanexternalsourcesuchasafirealarmsystem.ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiestheevaluationofconformityandthemarkingofthevisualalarmdevices.ThisEuropeanStandardappliestovisualalarmdevicesthatrelyonsoftwarefortheiroperationandtothosethatdonot.ThisEuropeanStandardappliesonlytopulsingorflashingvisualalarmdevices,forexamplexenonbeaconsorrotatingbeacons.DevicesgivingcontinuouslightoutputareexcludedfromthisEuropeanStandard.ThisEuropeanStandardisnotintendedtocovervisualindicators,forexamplethoseondetectorsoronthecontrolandindicatingequipment.
